Novotna) objavila \u010dlanek z naslovom \u00bbThe effect of fluorine or chlorine substitution on mesomorphic properties of ferroelectric nematic liquid crystals (Efekt fluorove in klorove zamenjave na mezomorfne lastnosti feroelektri\u010dnega nematskega teko\u010dega kristala)\u00ab v reviji Materials Advances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">Feroelektri\u010dna nematska faza (NF) predstavlja zelo zanimivo in hitro razvijajo\u010de se podro\u010dje raziskav teko\u010dih kristalov, ki zdru\u017euje fluidnost s feroelektri\u010dnostjo. Materiali z NF fazo izkazujejo velike vrednosti polarizacije in izjemne nelinearne opti\u010dne lastnosti. V \u010dlanku so bile izdelane izvirne molekulske strukture, tako brez substituentov, kot tudi s halogenskimi substituenti na mestu electron-donorske skupine. Pri tem je treba upo\u0161tevati, da uporaba atoma klora (Cl) pri na\u010drtovanju feroelektri\u010dnih nematogenov \u0161e ni bila predhodno opisana. Pri homologih z raz\u0161irjenim molekulskim jedrom je bila med ohlajanjem pod nematsko fazo opa\u017eena feroelektri\u010dna nematsko faza. Poleg tega smo pri nesubstituiranem homologu ugotovili, da je NF enantiotropna v \u0161irokem temperaturnem obmo\u010dju.
